Camera Iris (2001)
This little assembly demonstrates how a few mates here and
there can add up to something special. Anyone who is new to
SolidWorks can study how the logic of the software behaves
when interacting with it. Just move the handle and see!

Elliptical Spring (2001)
Every once in a while, someone in the SolidWorks newsgroup
will post a question asking how something can be modeled.
This is the result. I'm not sure what an elliptical spring can be
used for, but I'm sure you can find good techniques in there.

Unwindable Spirals (2001)
Use a drag handle to make the spiral wind and unwind. A few
simple equations make this demo come to life. Use this as a
starting point for creating roll feeds. Note: Two rebuilds are
required for each drag. Drag in small increments!

Adjustable Curved Helix (2001)
An assembly consisting of several "flex joints". A 3D curve is
then wrapped around each joint to simulate a helix. Three
different drag handles control the height, pitch and angles.
Fun and educational.

Mandrel Pipe Bender (2001)
A concept model of a pipe bending technique used in typical
fabrication shops. Demonstrates how "in-context" design
elements can add intelligence to an assembly, updating as
parts move along their free axis.
